How we work

When a crisis hits, we respond rapidly with vital humanitarian aid to save lives.
By working with a global network of local partner organisations, we’re able to respond quickly with exactly what’s needed. Working directly with communities means we can tailor our response to needs as they emerge, protecting people most at risk.
Once the immediate threat is over, we stay on to support communities, with tools and resources to help rebuild their lives and protect against future disasters.

Our values
We believe everyone must be treated fairly and have equitable access to rights and opportunities.
The Oxfam confederation works in 76 countries, supporting more than 14.25 million people
Our initial response to crises focuses on providing life-saving humanitarian aid. Once the immediate needs have been met, we work with local partner organisations and communities to support long-term recovery.
